The Power of Prayer

What ideas come into your head of when people talk about prayer? Hmm have you ever experienced what praying can do?

God wants us to talk to Him. Think of it like this. There is someone (good friend) who you really like to talk to, who you can tell anything to and not feel like you're being condemned, someone who makes you laugh when you are unhappy or a friend who you can rely on for anything. Yeah, that's what I call a friend and it's the same with God. Jesus is also our friend, best friend in fact. Yeah we might not be able to see Him but we know He's here with us. Prayer is a way we connect with God and you can pray anyway anywhere. Most people in church or at home have their own way of praying: some bow/kneel or simply bow their head and close their eyes. What if you are driving...obviously you wouldn't shut your eyes! But you can talk to God in other ways and God always listens. Like that friend you can rely on, God is always there, when you're down, had a bad day, fed-up or lonely God is there.

Jesus in Matthew 6:9-13 showed His disciples what prayer is.

"And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive." Matthew 21:22

So why not give it a try? It doesn't matter who you are

You can send a prayer request on here too.
